Fire Marshall training is a highly recommended best practice for any organisation. Fire Marshall training allows anyone to take responsibility for fire safety but also act as the designated fire Marshall or fire warden within an organisation.

The Fire Marshall course informs candidates of recommended frequency of fire drills, fire alarm system checks and responsibilities regarding fire exits. Fire doors are there for a reason, Fire Marshall training instills a hazard perception within candidates to maintain an environment that considers the event of fire at all times.

Candidates on the Fire Marshall course gain knowledge of the different types of fire extinguishers available. Delegates learn when it is appropriate to use a certain type of extinguisher and importantly, when it is not.

The Fire Marshall course investigates the basic science of fire; an understanding of the catalysts involved will prevent accidents occurring while enabling informed decisions in the event of fire. Fire exists in different types such as chemical or electrical. Different fires should be treated differently and Fire Marshall training will give candidates the knowledge to make the correct decision should fire occur while ensuring preventative and safety measures are in place in case of fire.

Fire Marshall training courses deliver the skills to become a situation co-ordinator, taking roll call to make sure everyone is out of the building and assessing the situation for any hazards that might pose a risk such as explosive substances that could ignite. Fire Marshall training candidates become aware of responsibilities, ensuring the fire service has been called and communicating information to the fire brigade when they arrive.
