Absolutely loved the training provided by Ray this week. He was very knowledgeable in his field and passed this knowledge on in way and at a speed to suit each learner. Ray provided so much valuable information for us especially around health and safety, machine use and operation that will be of vale to the students for years to come. Over the last month, we welcomed University of the West of England to the academy for their Woodworking Machinery Training. They had 3 training days across various weeks, with our trainer, Ray Fearon.

The course included training on various machines including, panel saw, planer thicknesser, disc sander, pillar drills and more. As well as this they completed an Abrasive Wheels course and even turned their very own bowl on our lathe.

Above we can see the delegates showing off their creation, made on the lathe.

It’s been a pleasure having them in, and look forward to seeing them again in the future for their refresher training.
