What Our Customers Think

Absolutely loved the training provided by Ray this week. He was very knowledgeable in his field and passed this knowledge on in way and at a speed to suit each learner. Ray provided so much valuable information for us especially around health and safety, machine use and operation that will be of vale to the students for years to come. He has been a pleasure to have on site for the duration of the training and we hope to see him again in the future. - HMP The Verne, Woodworking Machine Training course

The Didac programme was a great way to kickstart my career at Howdens, it allowed me to learn through the job role and I had great support from my trainer. I would recommend Didac to anyone looking to start an apprenticeship. - Customer Service Practitioner Apprentice, Howdens Joinery

On the 23rd August 2025, we shut the doors and cut of the phones for Didac’s first ever staff Wellbeing Day. A day consisting of games, chatting, food and most importantly awareness on the importance of mental health, it was a much needed day for us all.

We had every single member of our company all in one place for the first time in many years, and started the day with a game of ‘What’s in the Box?’ – imagine screams as we delved into the unknown feeling our way around and laughing at each other as we did. Objects consisted of cushions, butter, Rainbow drops, dental floss, you name it we guessed it!

Then we had a great talk from Suicide Prevent UK, talking about why they started doing the work they do, how they’ve grown over the years and about the amazing work they do for the public. We learned how important it is for everyone to have that chance of support during a time of crisis and need.

Next up lunch and games – we were spoilt with a fantastic spread of pastas, sandwiches, savoury bites, as well as fruit platters, cakes and pastries. And whilst we ate, we made the most of catching up with our colleagues. Away from the work talk, we caught up on their family life and what they’ve been up to outside of work. Some of us got competitive over Jenga, some chose to unwind with some colouring of affirmations, some just took the time to talk to those we don’t normally get to chat to.

Once our bellies were full we had a insightful talk from the charity, Mind, about how we can better manage our mental health and stresses whilst at work. We learnt a few calming techniques on how to de-stress, but also how some stress is actually beneficial and how to use this to our advantage!

Lastly, we were presented with the ‘Didac Awards’ – highlighting our staff’s achievements and presenting them with awards, because let’s face it, Didac has a pretty great team of staff who all deserve to be celebrated and acknowledged!

Overall, this day was a great success and we hope this will be the first day of many to come in the future.
