To assure the mission, Didac has adopted the Code of Good Governance devised by the Association of Employment & Learning Providers
The Code is based on the following expectations of good governance, which illustrate the values and beliefs of Didac’s governance board and directors.
Adopting the Code provides the framework to rethink and refresh approaches to governance as a member of the community of independent training providers that strive to be at the forefront of best practice in apprenticeships and government-funded training.

Furniture & Woodworking
We teach foundation and advanced woodworking skills through short courses, such as Machine Training, Abrasive Wheels, and Inhouse Machine Trainer. As well as apprenticeships, such as Wood Machining, Wood Products Manufacturing and more, both at our Woodwise Academy in Bristol and in clients’ workshops.
Professional Development
Sales, fitted furniture design, warehouse and management apprenticeships at level 2 and 3. We’ve carved out a particularly strong niche in the merchanting trades. All taught in the work-place.
Health & Safety
Training & consultancy services including machine and workshop audits, risk assessments, SSOW. Along with other Health and Safety services such as dust audits and noise audits. We also offer retained service packages to offer all year round support for your Health and Safety needs.

We provide a first class ‘hands-on’ experience on every course we deliver, whether that be a short course or apprenticeship.
We do this by providing the materials, equipment, a qualified and occupationally experienced trainer, access to on-line learning, classroom sessions, one to one support, off the job training, work place observation and feedback from live work situations.
It’s blended learning at it’s best and contributes to our learners excellent achievement rates.
Last academic year our achievement rates were 64%, which is 12% above the national average.
Our HQ is at the Woodwise Academy, which is 3 miles to the east of Bristol City centre on the banks of the River Avon. It’s a fantastic location and facility in which to work and train.
We deliver work-based training throughout the UK and internationally as well.
All apprenticeship training in England is funded.
To train in furniture making and woodworking requires space and equipment, which is why we opened the Woodwise Academy in 2010.
It’s contains all the equipment we need to provide a first class experience for learners wishing to work in the woodworking and furniture trades.
